If sprinkler water flows away uncontrollably and seeps into the ground, it will be a danger for people and the environment Numerous - sometimes tragic - examples have shown this in the past.
Our spill and containment barriers ensure safety. The various models can be fitted in front of and in the opening of doors and gates as well as in front of and in concrete or steel bunds. One particular characteristic of BLOBEL products is the special sealing technology which we introduced. It is based on a very flexible, highly chemical-resistant and flame-retardant foam. It pointed the way ahead for the whole market. We demand very high quality of the materials, manufacturing and fitting – serving both the safety of the people and the environment.
All BLOBEL spill barriers and retention systems are nationally and internationally approved.
They fulfil the following requirements of:
- the Containment of Contaminated Fire Fighting Water guideline (LÖRÜRL national)
- the capital equipment regulations (VAwS national)
- the regional fire protection authorities
- all known specifications of the member countries of the EU (e.g. Seveso II directive 96/82/EC, 96/082/EEC)
- as well as other international guidelines and regulations.
The fitting of our barriers nationally and internationally as a media retention barrier is permitted immediately or on application. In the German federal states the valid regulations of each federal state`s law have to be observed. In the EU member states and worldwide the existing certificates are normally sufficient. We can, of course, give you detailed advice on the subject of license and approval.

Our Economy range offers you water retention partitions in Blobel's traditional high quality but at a moderate cost. These are the preferred choice when it comes to spill barriers. They can be manually handled and assembled inside and outside a door jamb.

“Automatic” Spill Systems
are by definition fully automatic systems that are activated by detectors (such as sprinklers, fire alarm systems or moisture sensors) and then move themselves into the final locked position. They also return to their original stand-by position without any assistance whatsoever. This automation takes the entire burden off your shoulders.
Each of Blobel's “automatic” systems is fully automatic – without exception.

The economic effects are a strain on public funds and often threaten corporate enterprises and private livelihoods.
Our flood water protection systems were originally developed from the containment systems. Their function and above all their sealing technology were a role model for numerous offers. Our original BLOBEL flood protection systems are generally characterized by their high quality, standardized materials, very careful manufacturing and extreme toughness.
The standardization of parts means that they are readily available now and in the future.. The additional protection against vandalism, which our HDS series offers, is particularly appreciated by public customers.
Our flood water doors and automatic retention barriers compliment our range. Even in this area we lead the way in market standards.
Our flood water barriers fulfil the same safety standards as our containment systems. All of our products are subject to continual quality control according to DIN ISO 9001.

Storm water drain covers
BLOBEL sealing systems are mobile and easy to install. Even in extreme conditions they offer safe protection against the risk of contamination of the storm water drains, for example, by polluted water. Our stationary inflow barriers are firmly fitted instead of concreted in and can be easily removed or refitted during maintenance.
All BLOBEL inflow protection systems, shaft barriers and drain covers are nationally and internationally approved.
